Description

Our Cliff Top House by Dale Bowen

Dale Bowen was born in Staffordshire in 1963, where he continues to live and work today. Studying Art in college in Newcastle, Dale went on to work as a master potter for 15 years at Coalport China and Wedgewood. During his time in the prestige department he created many notable commissions, including pieces for the Queen Mothers 100th birthday and HMS Victory celebrations. His works were exhibited in museums worldwide, fetching prices in excess of £100,000.

Dale has more recently return to acrylic on canvas as a medium due to his original passion with it, and has experienced wide acclaim doing so. His playful acrylic originals are packed with colour and texture, proving themselves to be extremely popular with adults and children alike. Animals, people and vehicles are hidden amongst the vibrant, whimsical landscapes, with the humorous titles of each work revealing the artists evident affection for each scene.

Bowens delightful pieces are popular the length and breadth of the country, with his Limited Edition collections consistently selling out in record time. The joy with which he paints is evident in each and every one of his creations, and is equaled only by those fortunate enough to own them.

“Mr Toad’s Disastrous Day Out” captures a scene of the well loved Toad of Toad Hall, an adaptation of A. A. Milne’s The Wind in the Willows, putting an expert hand to the well known characters.
