I Gotta Get Out (Meatloaf) Deluxe by Mark Davies

A bold and intense collection of work that showcases iconic music album covers remastered by Mark Davies

I am taking something that exists and is well loved but making it better, adding ambience, detail and emotion. You’re not trying to change things to the point of distorting or losing what people love about the iconic covers but simply amplifying the original works. I’m doing exactly what a producer would do when they revisit a classic and evaluate what works and why and what can be built on and brought up-to-date. Exploring an emotion that may not have been visible on what we recognise today but could very well be there under the surface, away from the spotlight.

The intention here was simply to make everything more explosive and dramatic, through increasing the speed that the motorbike and rider shoot out from the ground and adding more dramatic fire detailing. The cemetery backdrop is even more jagged and intense while the huge bat gives off a greater sense of movement and intensity.
