Emma Grzonkowski Limited Edition Artwork

It has always been Emma’s dream to become an artist, drawing has always fascinated her, and as a child she loved nothing more than to be in her own idealistic world, sitting for hours on end, trying to encapsulate her playful imagination and put all her sketches down on paper.

Emma Grzonkowski’s desire to create her own vision was sparked, and if Emma was struggling with something, she would frequently ask her dad to draw it for her. Emma would watch him intently and after pinning the drawing up on her bedroom wall she would copy it again and again until she got it right.

However the first masterpiece Emma ever created was on the backseat of her dads brand new car, a beautiful drawing of a flower in bright blue biro the need to create was just that strong.

Art continued to be Emma’s main focus, at home, throughout school, and then on to sixth form college, at Sir John Deanes College here Emma was encouraged to push her technical ability, with reference to the study of the great Masters.

Emma Grzonkowski went on to study fine art and graphic design, at Chester University. It was there that she was given free reign to truly experiment, her class were given no boundaries and Emma had to find her own style, which was brilliant. It was during the second year of Emma’s degree that disaster struck; a special person was taken away from Emma in a sudden and fatal car accident.

Emma Said, “My whole world was torn apart and I was completely lost and in searching for reasons answers and solace, I turned to the only thing which I felt could not be taken way from me, my painting.”

The inspiration and desire to paint from the soul evolved. She found herself painting endlessly, as a release in an ever expressive and often frantic manner, every painting reflecting her quest to find inner peace.

Emma was determined to do the very best that she could in honour of her soul mates memory and to make him proud, Emma battled through her degree, and finished with a body of artwork which was truly soulful. It was at this point that Emma realised that she needed to pursue her dream.
